ABS Fittings

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a homogeous material with good chemical resistance and high impact strength. ABS Characteristics make it suitable for use at low temperatures (-40°C) and its ease of jointing where good preparation practice is applied 

Standards - Individual products are made in accordance with the appropriate British & European (EN) Standards

Quality - We supply products manufactured under the independent ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Management standard with appropriate approvals and certification. Effast pipework products are DWI approved for potable water.

Material - The material meets the requirements of the Water Regulations Advistory Scheme for potable water. (DWI/KIWA/WRAS/NF/ACS) approvals.

Chemical Resistance - The chemical resistance properties of ABS are good for most diluted inorganic acids, organic acids, animal fats, oils & salts. It is not resistance to acetic acid, alcohol, organic solvents, petrol, oils, and vegetable oil.

Colour - ABS products are manufactured in mid grey colour (RAL 7046)

Temperature Range - ABS is suitable for use over a wide termperature range from -40°C to 70°C
