The KP mechanical compression range is designed for use with PE pipework in the conveyance of:

Irrigation water
Landscaping systems
Agricultural fluids
Slurries under pressure

These systems are widely used for both above ground and underground installations, thanks to their reliability, ease of installation, and high-quality manufacture.

Standards & Pressure Ratings

All KP products are manufactured in accordance with recognised British & European (EN) Standards and are pressure-rated to operate at PN16 at 20°C.

PP Fittings: ISO 17885, EN12201, WRAS
Blue PE Pipe EN12201, Blue PE80 BSEN12201 with Kite Mark
PP / PVC-U Valves: ISO 7/1, DIN 2999
PP Clamp Saddles: ISO 14236, EN12201, BS21

Material Composition

Body & Nut: High-performance polypropylene block (PP.B) copolymer
Split Ring: Acetal (POM)
Lip Seal Gasket: EPDM, 70-shore hardness
Take-off Threads: Fitted with AISI430 steel ring (sizes 1¼” and above)

Chemical Resistance

Compression fittings are made from PP with Acetal split rings and NBR O-rings, making them ideal for water applications.

Colours

Products in this range may be supplied in 3 different coloured nuts, they can be seen on each product page. KP is our core range, with some items supplied on supported terms from time to time. We may supply orders with mixed colours. If you have preference, or would like to confirm which your order will be supplied in, please contact prior to ordering to discuss.

Temperature & Pressure Guidance

Not suitable for hot water applications (maximum working temperature: 20°C)
For increased temperatures, pressure must be reduced accordingly.
Fittings 20mm – 63mm: Rated to 16 Bar at ambient temperature
Larger fittings: Rated to 10 Bar
Threaded fittings: Recommended for use up to 10 Bar unless otherwise specified

Installation Note

Fittings up to 63mm should be hand-tightened (the Lip Seal Gasket provides a sufficient seal).
Larger fittings may be tightened with a locking wrench (see MDPE section for details).
