ABS Pressure Pipe Systems ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a homogenous material with good chemical resistance and high impact strength. ABS characteristics make it suitability for use at low temperatures and its ease of jointing where good preparation practice is applied. Standards Individual Products are made in accordance with the appropriate British & European (EN) Standards – ABS Imperial Fittings BS5392 Part 1, ABS Threads to BS21, EN10226-1, DIN 2999. ISO 07 Quality PPFV Ltd supply products manufactured under the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Management standard and hold appropriate approvals and certification. Projects with specified approval or certification requirements, contact us for details. Material The material meets the requirements of the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme for potable water. (KIWA/WRAS/NF/ACS approvals) Chemical Resistance The chemical resistance properties of ABS are good for most diluted inorganic acids, organic acids, animal fats and oils and salts. It is not resistant to acetic acid, alcohol, organic solvents, petrol, oils, and vegetable oil. Colour ABS Products are manufactured in mid grey colour (RAL 7046). Temperature range ABS is suitable for use over a wide temperature range from -40?C to 70?C
